Today is National Fentanyl Awareness Day. It is tragic that the plague of Fentanyl has so significantly impacted our way of life, that we find it necessary to acknowledge the damage this substance has done with a special day. Hopefully drawing attention to this dangerous drug will have a positive impact on its use by educating youth about the dangers of counterfeit pills laced with deadly fentanyl. Now we are faced with the emergence of a newer more deadly form of this insidious drug called Carfentanyl which is 100 times more lethal. As Mother’s Day, approaches we MUST work to end the sorrow so many mothers have experienced due to the loss of a child to these deadly substances.
